It’s been a while since I posted about any of the rooms in our house, so I thought that there really was no time like the present? Over the summer I decided to make a few changes to our bedroom, and I have been getting so many questions about it since I posted photos on Instagram, that I thought it would be a nice idea to share where everything is from .  It just needed a breath of fresh air, and a couple of practical changes too.

We put the new carpet down on the landing a little over a year after we had moved in, this space remained untouched for another two and a half years.  Like most areas in the house I have utilised it for a practical purpose (In this instance for my dressing table!), as we are short on space, so it seemed like the perfect solution to not having enough space in our bedroom.  The light is also so much better, so it makes sense for when I am doing my make-up!

This is a concept that always appeals to me so much.  I love the Mediterranean way of living; the flow between the inside of the house and the outside space of a garden.  From May onwards, we rarely eat indoors, only if it’s raining, and we can always be found in the garden.  All of our spare time is spent tending to the garden and enjoying it.  Whilst I don’t claim to be a gardening guru (somewhat of a fluke gardener), I know what I like and I know how I like the garden to look and feel.

I know I always say this, but I think the sitting room might finally be finished?  It hasn’t been the easiest room to get feeling “just right” as I always seem to find something that needs doing.  When the new armchair and sofa arrived in recent months I thought I had made it feel cosier, but there were a couple of major stumbling blocks still bugging me in this room…..
