I know you can’t really be at liberty to say “My favourite place on earth” until you’ve actually travelled most places, but for me, if I were to take that liberty, I would most certainly say North Cornwall. It has been my happiest place for many years, and the place we go to escape whenever times aren’t as happy.  So when Joules asked me if I would like to partner with them to take my Mum on a girls trip to one of my favourite hotels, the answer was a pretty obvious one. Hi, I’m Elle, the absent blogger.

I just thought I would re-introduce myself before I come in with an apology of what on earth I have been up to for all of these months instead of actually filling this blog with my writing.  Well, as many of you may have seen (I mean, it’s not like I have mentioned it 65875 times) I was writing a book.  I know, me, an entire bloody book. I can’t quite believe it either. If someone had asked me what my aims were with my blog when it started in January 2017, I can tell you that turning it into a book was not one of them.  I still can’t quite believe it’s happened.  When I hold it in my hands and stare at that title that was deliberated over, I genuinely cannot believe that Teddy’s story is there in print, forever.

Fatface have come a long way in 30 years. It’s been quite a journey – travelling from mountains to beaches, and from coastal towns to big cities.

For me they have long been one of my go-to brands; whether I am heading to Cornwall, beach-bound or heading off for that long-awaited holiday.  It would seem this year is no different when it comes to them nailing effortless summer-style.  There’s a serious selection of summer essentials and swimwear this season, and I feel so lucky to be able to show you my favourite picks, for wherever you are heading off on an adventure this summer…

I made no secret of that fact that we had never been to Norfolk when we ventured there at the end of January for a weekend break with friends.  Oh the surprise and outrage this sparked from Instagram; “Never been to Norfolk? What have you been doing with your life?” Good question. I wanted to see what all the excitement was about, so we ventured around the M25 (clockwise if you’re asking) and up the A11 for a weekend adventure…..
