Ok, maybe that title is a little misleading. I mean it should read “almost anything”, but that wouldn’t be very punchy would it? I decided to just go the whole hog with the title of this one and then slowly back out of the “anything” concept by trying to explain myself a little better. As far as trying to fix my body after trauma and improve my fertility goes, I will try anything. There, make more sense?

When we think of Valentine’s Day, I think we are programmed to think about a day designed for the lovers of this world.  Husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends and basically anyone we care to fancy the pants off of?!  What if it didn’t have to be about that though?  What if it could just be about who we love, the “people” for whom we care the most, who we couldn’t get through each day without.  It will be no secret to anyone reading this that, for me, that “person” is about thirty centimetres tall, snores loudly and wakes each day with an abundance of enthusiasm for life like no one I have ever known before.  I am, of course, talking about Boris; my one and only.

Opening our doors to friends in December has become a bit of a tradition.  With my husbands birthday in December, I always feel like we are doing the age-old “two birds with one stone” (he won’t thank me for that!) by welcoming friends in to celebrate both.  It’s that time of year when I want to ensure we make the time to see everyone, and having a birthday celebration on top of the usual festivities gives us the perfect excuse to get everyone together for an evening of fun and laughter!  This year, rather than doing our usual drinks and nibbles at ours, and then off out for dinner; I took the plunge and said I would go the whole-hog (not literally) and host.

It is my great pleasure to have this wonderful soul over on the blog today. Kelly contacted me earlier in the year, when my blog was new, my head and heart were still submerged in grief, and I didn’t know which way was up.  Her kind words and honest take on life lifted me up, and her journals have given me a wonderful way to focus my mind and calm my anxiety each day.  For this I am eternally grateful.  She truly is one of the good ones in life, and I hope you’ll all give her a warm welcome……
